Senior Robotics Engineer specializing in automotive robot programming, integration, and optimization for paint and general assembly operations.
Job Requirements
Demonstrated competency with industrial robot applications, including:
Material handling
Dispense (urethane, sealer, adhesive, paint)
Tool Center Points (TCPs)
User Frames, Base Frames, and Work Objects
External axes
Expert-level Fanuc robot programming experience
Expert-level Kawasaki robot programming experience
Integration experience setting up robots from factory condition, including additional axis setup, EOAT setup, vision setup, and initial commissioning
Experience teaching TCPs, Frames, Loads, and configuring DCS (safety configuration)
Experience configuring robot I/O, including communications interfaces
Experience with offline programming (OLP) software
General Motors LOTO/MPS certification with proof of certificate
Familiarity with robot peripheral devices such as vision equipment, specifically Fanuc iRVision 3DV
Preferred Skills
Experience with Ford GVOSS and FAST standards
Experience with General Motors Global Robot Standards
Exposure to cycle time improvement initiatives and application optimization for robot applications
Job Responsibilities
Teach and configure TCPs, Frames, Loads, and DCS (safety configuration) for robotic systems
Configure robot I/O, including communications with peripheral equipment and plant systems
Set up and configure dispense process equipment for paint shop and general assembly applications
Set up and configure various types of vision equipment, including robot-mounted and floor-mounted systems
Develop Offline Programs (OLPs) for robotic applications
Develop simulations using one or more platforms for internal and external process validations
Optimize robot applications to meet customer cycle time and performance requirements
Support integration activities including robot setup from factory, additional axis setup, EOAT installation, vision system setup, and other initial commissioning tasks
Work within customer standards such as Ford GVOSS/FAST and GM Global Robot Standards when applicable
Collaborate with internal teams and customers during assignments and meetings related to robotic applications and commissioning
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
