At the Agrisera site in Umeå, part of the Proteomic Sciences division, former Olink Proteomics, we are working on transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative Olink solutions – including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5,000 proteins – our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.
Job specific information:
We are seeking a Development Engineer to join the Recombinant Protein Development team within the Affinity department at R&D If you want to work with a leading technology that supports population scale proteomics, you might the person we are looking for.
Recombinant Protein Development is responsible for developing immunoassay reagents for Olink's products. This includes design, expression, purification and analysis of recombinant proteins. Furthermore, we also work with research, development and other types of projects within R&D. You will belong to a team of eight people, including both Scientists and Development Engineers, and report to the Section Manager Recombinant Protein Development, located on-site in Umeå. This is a laboratory-centered role and has a certain focus on protein analysis using LC-MS.
Main responsibilities:
Plan and perform laboratory work in accordance with set project plans and work schedules, with active collaboration and communication with the team.
Evaluate and document results
Troubleshoot and further develop our technical capabilities.
Ensure our products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications/skills:
University degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field (Advanced Degree preferred)
Documented experience of hands-on laboratory work in protein research or biochemistry/molecular biology
Documented experience with bioanalytical methods like HPLC and mass spectrometry
Practical knowledge of protein expression and purification techniques
Experience with quality documentation in a regulated environment is beneficial
Scientific understanding of the fields of proteomics, protein science and recombinant protein technology
A collaborative spirit combined with the ability to work independently
Strong time management and organizational skills
Full professional proficiency in English and intermediate understanding of Swedish
