Scope of Service: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies. Unit Overview: 32 Bed Unit Autonomous, nurse driven, fast-paced environment Average patient length of stay is under 24 hours Patient Population: A wide variety of medical surgical and intermediate level observation status patients managed by hospitalists, surgeons and ER providers. Patient diagnoses encompass cardiology (chest pain, atrial fibrillation, CHF, etc), neurology (TIA, syncope, seizure, headache, vertigo), urology (kidney stone, flank pain), post-op (laminectomy, fusion, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, orthopedic surgeries, etc), anemia, generalized abdominal pain, COPD, etc. Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
