We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Stroke Coordinator, leading efforts to enhance stroke care within our hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri. The Stroke Coordinator focuses on coordinating comprehensive care for stroke patients, ensuring alignment with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.

 

As the RN Stroke Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive quality improvement initiatives, optimize patient outcomes, and maintain compliance with national stroke care standards. Your nursing expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in advancing our stroke program and achieving excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

Coordinate Stroke Patient Care– Manage care from admission through discharge, ensuring continuity and quality.Lead Quality Improvement Initiatives– Analyze outcomes and implement strategies to enhance stroke care performance.Educate Staff and Families– Provide ongoing training on stroke protocols to nursing teams, patients, and caregivers.Promote Community Awareness– Develop and lead outreach programs to increase stroke awareness and prevention.Ensure Regulatory Compliance– Maintain adherence to national/state guidelines and hospital policies.Collaborate Across Departments– Facilitate communication among healthcare teams to support seamless patient care and satisfaction. Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

Bachelors of Science in Nursing or higher, preferredCurrent and valid state RN licenseMinimum of five years of critical care experience in the ICU or Emergency Department (or a combination of both), preferred Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained currentACLS upon hire and maintained current.
