**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**Job Summary:**
Under the direction of the department director, the Sepsis Coordinator coordinates, develops and implements the HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital (GCH) Sepsis Program. Collects and analyzes both patient and program outcomes through data collection to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care and outcomes. Acts as a leader to provide clinical recommendations and coordination of the Sepsis Program in a collaborative team approach to accomplish goals. Assures adherence to standards for regulatory compliance. Accesses, develops and coordinates staff, patient education and physician education related to the Sepsis Program. Scope of practice also includes providing organized care to the sepsis patient with focus on health promotion and disease prevention. Follows policies and procedures of GCH. Refines the Sepsis protocol and program to participate in the Quality Improvement process. Adheres to GCH values and I.C.A.R.E. standards of behavior.
The Sepsis Coordinator works in conjunction with the Clinical and/or department Leaders and Advanced Nurse Educator(s), to plan, organize, implement, and oversee the skill and program development of the staff of GCH. The Sepsis Coordinator, provides the opportunity to advance the professional development of both a stable and diverse group of experienced and knowledgeable nurses, as well as orient and train nurses new to GCH. The Sepsis Coordinator participates in new hire orientation. The Sepsis Coordinator works in conjunction with the quality department and key program metrics to determine improvement strategies and educational gaps.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
+ Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree

Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community.
