Registered Nurse (1:1 School-Based) Location: New Bern, NC Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (42.5 hours/week) Contract Length: Through the remainder of the school year (approx. 9 months) Start Date: ASAP (Target: January 20, 2026) About the Role Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a second-grade student in a school setting. This role involves meeting the student at their home, riding the bus to and from school, and supporting their medical needs throughout the school day. The student is in a regular classroom environment and requires specialized care to ensure safety and well-being. Responsibilities + Provide direct nursing care for a female student with a central line for IV TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). + Perform intermittent blood glucose monitoring and administer Lovenox injections. + Ride the bus with the student to and from school (short route). + Collaborate with school staff and healthcare professionals to maintain a safe environment. + Document care in compliance with district charting requirements. Minimum Requirements + Active RN license in North Carolina. + Current CPR certification. + Must be at least 18 years of age. + Ability to meet district-specific onboarding requirements. + Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
