School Registered Nurse (RN) – 1:1 Support Location: Pisgah Forest, NC Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Contract Length: Remainder of the 2025–26 school year (extension likely) Start Date: February 23, 2026 Assignment Duration: 20 weeks *Pay Rate Based On Experience* Position Overview Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 support in a school setting for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting a student within the school environment. You will work closely with the educational team to ensure the student’s health, safety, and access to learning throughout the school day. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with pediatric experience who is passionate about working in a school environment and providing individualized care. Responsibilities + Provide 1:1 nursing care and monitoring throughout the school day. + Support the student during classroom activities, transitions, and transportation (if applicable). + Follow the student’s healthcare plan and collaborate with school staff and families. + Administer medications and perform skilled nursing tasks as required. + Respond to medical needs and emergencies in alignment with district policies. + Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team. Requirements + Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license. + Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. + Pediatric experience required . + School nursing experience preferred . + Experience with G-tube care and seizure management required.
