Compassionate care, advocacy and creating a safe and helping environment for sexual assault victims are top priorities for the SANE Registered Nurse.
You will collect evidence accurately and timely from patients in sexual assault cases and initiate appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
You will work with the patient as a partner in care, communicate their needs and involve patients and families in the care process.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate degree in Nursing Skills: Completion and passage of an Adult/Adolescent/Pediatric Sexual Assault Training Program. Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience License: Current state license as a Registered Nurse. The RN in Ohio must complete 24 hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period. At least 1-hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules. Maintains knowledge and training regarding legislation and evidence collection by achieving a minimum of 4-hours of SANE specific continuing education annually. Attends regional/departmental meetings and education events as scheduled. Participates in SANE “on-Call” schedule with adherence to business unit guidelines. Certification: Current BLS.
