Overview

Office Location:   Scottsboro, AL
Coverage area:   Jackson, Dekalb, and Marshall Counties

Schedule:   7 day on/7 day off schedule/rotation starts on a Friday at 4pm

  

Our On-Call RNs play a crucial role in end-of-life care, stepping in during off-hours to bring relief, clarity, and compassion when it's needed most. Hospice of North Alabama is seeking a passionate, dedicated RN to join our team in Scottsboro, AL. As a On-Call RN You will:    

(CHOOSE ONE: If office HAS a Remote Triage team) Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basis  (CHOOSE ONE: If office DOES NOT have Remote Triage) Deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basis Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary Offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and anticipating the next steps If a death occurs during on-call hours, the RN will go to the home or facility to pronounce death, provide support to the family, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice team  Complete timely documentation and communication
