As an Inpatient Registered Nurse in the Henry Cancer Center, you will:
Receive specialized training in chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant care deliveryParticipate in clinical orientation provided in the Henry Cancer Center infusion department, GWV inpatient oncology unit, and Progressive Care UnitManage and treat patients in an acuity adaptable setting from medical-surgical to advanced level of careCoordinate patient care and collaboration among the multidisciplinary clinical teamsAssess, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet the individual needs of each patientPromote adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, safety, and optimal patient/family experiencePartnership with palliative care teamGeisinger Wyoming Valley is proud to receive ANCC Magnet Recognition®, the highest and most prestigious distinction a health care organization can receive for nursing practice and quality patient care.
