Emergency Nurse, Regional Float (Omaha Metro Team)
This Nurse position will float to all of the Omaha/Council Bluffs Emergency Departments
What is a Resource Team/Float Pool? A nursing pool developed by CHI Health for flexible nurses, providing high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments. Your base rate of pay, merit increases, and shift differentials are given in an identical manner as for all core staff.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.
Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:
Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needsCollaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patientsAdministering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ ordersFostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their familiesJob Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing programCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state.Two years of recent ER experience Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 monthsTrauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 monthsEmergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 18 monthsWhere You'll Work
