PMH nurses promotewell-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment,diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability inthe coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety ofsettings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, andcommunities when applicable.
