Responsibilities

As our Medical Surgical/Swing Bed Nurse at CHI Lisbon Health,  you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our units. You will provide care to patients of all ages experiencing a variety of medical illnesses including, but not limited to pulmonary, cardiovascular disease/illness, wound care, infectious diseases, GI and GU issues; as well as respite and end of life care.

It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process. As a Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needsCollaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patientsAdministering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ ordersFostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their familiesAdminister medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school or college of nursing.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Dakota.Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

ACLS within 6 months of hire.

TNCC within 6 months of hire.
