As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment. This position allows you to use your comprehensive skills and expertise to deliver outstanding care while providing you numerous opportunities to explore educational development courses and advance the Professional Ladder at Cleveland Clinic.
A caregiver in this position works variable shifts between the hours of 5:00 a.m. -- 11:30 p.m. with 3 weekend shifts per quarter required, and 1 on-call holiday per year
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions before and after procedures. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, expectations and aftercare. Prepare, check, and operate endoscopic equipment and adjust settings as neededMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) One year of current acute care RN experienceAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within completion of 12-week orientation periodPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
