JFK Memorial Hospitall has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:

•Ambulatory surgery center

•Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The OR Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) performs the clinical role of a RN Ill in the care of the patient undergoing surgery and/or anesthesia. This position assumes a leadership role for daily unit operations and assists with hiring and training of staff. The PCC supervises and evaluates staff performance and maintains staffing levels to ensure budget goals and meet patient needs. The position ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available at all times and develops and implements performance improvement projects to improve patient outcomes. The PCC functions as a role model and mentor to other employees and serves as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    California RN License, Associates degree required. BSN preferred
2.    Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN Ill position in Surgical Services.
3.    Previous experience or demonstrated skills in leadership and management.
4.    Basic Computer Skills
5.    BLS
