**Responsibilities**

In this role, your patients will be critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life threatening diseases. Our nurses wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend.
PACU Nurse Role:
+ Patience and focus to constantly support the perioperative department and provide critical care to patients post surgery
+ Proven ability to think and react quickly while providing education and surgical related questions post recovery
+ Proficiency with providing detailed instructions and completing all surgical consents and processes
+ Passion for excellence in delivering quality care

**Qualifications**
+ **Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelors in Nursing Preferred)
+ Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
+ BLS with skills demonstration
+ 1 year nursing expereince required
**Experience Desired:**
One (1) year of perioperative related expereince desired
Two (2) years of Critical Care experience Perferred
**Overview**
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.

**Pay Range**
$33.00 - $52.80 /hour
