MercyOne Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Inpatient Nurse Manager to lead and support our inpatient units, Care Coordination department, and hospitalist team. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape clinical excellence, drive performance improvement, and mentor a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Lead and manage inpatient nursing operations across multiple units.
Oversee care coordination and collaborate with hospitalists to ensure seamless patient care.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans and unit budgets.
Foster a culture of safety, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting professional development and high-quality care.
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and providers.
Represent the department in hospital committees and management meetings as needed.
What We’re Looking ForRegistered Nurse (RN) licensed in Iowa or compact state.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred (or actively pursuing).
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in acute care or related settings.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
