Serving the needs of the surrounding communities, Willoughby Hills Family Health Center offers patients a wide variety of pediatric, family medicine, radiology and cardiology services. On this team, you will join a family of caregivers, enhance your skills and build a rewarding career at Cleveland Clinic, one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

This position harnesses the skills of an experienced Ambulatory RN who recently retired but wants to transfer knowledge to newer nurses within the organization. The RN will provide professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in various ambulatory care settings. 

A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 3:30pm.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

 Perform telephone triage. Notify physician/LIP of abnormal findings. Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team. Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for response. Provide health education to patients and families.  Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document education to learning needs. Participate in quality initiatives and process improvements activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross required upon rehire.In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross Certification upon rehire Three years of experience in an RN Ambulatory position at the Cleveland Clinic before retirement Current demonstrated clinical competence Effective communication and interpersonal skills

 
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

BSN

Physical Requirements:

Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
