Position Overview

Full time; 36 hours per week (Weekend) Night Shift; 7pm – 7am

Department Overview

The Family Maternity Center includes a 57-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to take care of babies who are born early or require a higher level of care. Babies in the NICU may require more medical equipment to adjust to the world, but the NICU is also a place where we encourage parents to bond with their infants in their earliest stages of life. Our NICU-trained specialized team includes:Board-certified neonatologistsNeonatal nurse practitionersNICU nursesHuman milk technicians (LPNs)NICU-trained respiratory therapistsOccupational therapistsDieticiansSocial workers/Case ManagementLactation specialists

The NICU RN's will assist Parents in becoming comfortable with handling and caring for their baby. The unit encourages parents to stay with their little one as much as possible.

Minimum Requirements

License and Certification

Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standingBasic Life Support (BLS)NRP within 6 months of hire12 months of experience as an RN preferred

Education

RN-Associate’s Degree, orRN-Bachelor’s Degree, orRN-Master’s Degree

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$30.38 - $55.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
