You'll gain broad experience while working directly with patients and their families, making a real difference in their health and well-being. **What You'll Do as a Med Surg RN at CHI Oakes Hospital:** + Provide direct patient care on our medical-surgical unit, encompassing a wide range of diagnoses and conditions. + Administer medications, perform treatments, and utilize advanced nursing skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. + Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and intervene appropriately. + Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. + Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge planning, and medication adherence. + Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care. + Champion patient safety and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. + Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. **Qualifications** + Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. + Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Dakota (or ability to obtain prior to start). + Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association. + Current ACLS certification. + PALS or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. **Overview** CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building.
