Job Summary and Responsibilities

In this role, your patients will be critically ill or unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life threatening diseases. Our nurses wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend.

Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoringAssist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency proceduresEducate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stagesAssess newborn and provide care.Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas

BLS with skills demonstration

One Year RN experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors in Nursing Preferred
