Position Summary:

Responsible for the hospital-wide infection prevention and control program (IPC) including surveillance, submission of data and the development and implementation of control measures and presentation of educational programs relevant to infection prevention.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Minimum Experience/Skills: Three to five years clinical experience in an acute care facility, or two years of experience in Infection Control. Knowledgeable of OSHA, APIC, Title 22, Joint Commission and CDC regulations and guidelines. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Current RN licensure, Infection Control Certification within 2 years and 6 months of hire or transfer into position; must maintain ongoing current certification.
