Fairview Hospital Heart Center’s Rini Cardiac Diagnostic Center centralizes major diagnostic services, using advanced electronic equipment to evaluate cardiovascular structure and function. Procedures include heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, rhythm evaluations, and vascular diagnostics to guide further testing, treatment, or surgical intervention. As part of this team, you will support patients through critical stages of their health, delivering world-class cardiac care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. As an RN, you will provide exceptional care throughout the patient journey and support cardiologists during invasive procedures involving the heart’s electrical system, including pacemaker-related care and dysrhythmia management. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, enhancing their experience and providing healthcare education as needed.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
Educate patients and families.
Cover other nursing roles in the department.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross upon hire or within six months of hire
One year of recent experience as an RN
OR licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
BSN
Two years of recent experience as an RN
For Cardiac Catheterization or other related procedural areas, one year of critical care experience in a hospital setting
Critical care and/or Med/Surg experience
ICU/ED experience
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
