Shift/Schedule – Full Time Days. 4/10 hr. shifts  Mon-Fri 6:45-5:15 with a rotating day off weekly 

On-Call- No Call required  

Requirement- Requires a min of 2 years RN FA experience.

Job Summary

As a First Assistant Registered Nurse, you'll support physicians in clinic, hospital, and OR settings to provide top-tier medical care. You will collaborate closely with both physicians and patients in clinical and hospital settings to ensure excellent care. Your duties will cover the entire patient treatment process, from before to after surgery.

Essential Functions of the RoleYou'll carry out pre-surgical evaluations and focused nursing assessments, and issue pre-operative orders by following established procedures.You'll play a crucial role in patient care planning, by interacting and coordinating with other healthcare providers.One main responsibility is assisting surgeons during operations. This includes handling instruments, providing exposure, cutting tissue, ensuring hemostasis, and suturing tissues.After surgeries, you'll help manage patients with other healthcare professionals.Assisting with patient discharge and coordinating with community resources when needed is another key aspect of this role.Key Success FactorsEffective communication abilities.In-depth understanding of operating room proceedings.Ability to collaborate efficiently with all hospital departments.Detailed knowledge about patient procedures in a clinic environment.Proficiency in working collaboratively with all office staff members.Belonging Statement

Qualifications

Successful completion of a recognized Nursing program.A minimum of (2) two years of previous experience in nursing.The candidate must be a Registered NurseThe ideal candidate should possess RN-First Assistant certification, demonstrating their proficiency in aiding with surgical procedures.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire
