For a full list of benefits, click here (https://jobs.clevelandclinic.org/benefits-2/) . + Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. **A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. + Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of care and serve as a patient advocate. + Provide nursing care, administer treatments/medication and document. + Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes, contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process. + Delegate tasks/assignments, serve as a resource person, pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable certification/licensure and obtain any required certifications specific to the unit. + Administer and document chemotherapy, investigational chemotherapy, IVs and other medications, enter laboratory, EKG and procedure orders/charges, maintain chemotherapy re-certification, and perform in a calm and professional manner during crisis, emergency or unexpected situations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN program) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) + Oncology experience + Chemotherapy Certification ​ **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. + Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. + Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
