For a full list of benefits, click here (https://jobs.clevelandclinic.org/benefits-2/) . + Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. **A caregiver in this role works day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. + Implement and monitor patient care plans. + Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. + Monitor and document patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions. + Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes. + Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. + Prep patient for surgery. + Assess educational needs of the patient and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns. + Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate. + Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching. + Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings OR licensed military RN experience + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + If in an ED, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) + Experienced RNs with ED background Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
