Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), you’ll deliver individualized, direct bedside care to critically ill patients, including immediate post–open heart surgery recovery. You’ll work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and apply your advanced clinical knowledge to drive high-quality outcomes. Your responsibilities include:

Monitoring and managing patients with cardiac, neuro, ventilator, and hemodynamic supportLeading care for post-CABG, valve replacements, and open-heart recoveryDeveloping care plans using evidence-based practicesDelegating and supervising care within the healthcare teamParticipating in hourly rounding and promoting a safe, patient-centered environmentTaking on charge nurse duties as needed

✅Qualifications

Education:

Required: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing schoolPreferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Experience:

Required: Minimum 1 year of acute care CVICU experience (we cannot take new grads at this time)Preferred: Immediate open-heart recovery experienceProficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator supportExperience in Cardiac Stepdown or Neuro ICUSpecialty certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred

Licensure/Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse License in the State of ArizonaBLS and ACLS (required per department/facility guidelines)
