Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), you’ll deliver individualized, direct bedside care to critically ill patients, including immediate post–open heart surgery recovery. You’ll work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and apply your advanced clinical knowledge to drive high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, ventilator, and hemodynamic supportLead care for post-CABG, valve replacements, and open-heart recoveryDevelop care plans using evidence-based practicesDelegate and supervise care within the healthcare teamParticipate in hourly rounding and promote a safe, patient-centered environmentTake on charge nurse duties as neededWhy Abrazo Arrowhead?

Education:
Required: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing schoolPreferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Experience:
Required: Minimum 1 year of acute care CVICU experiencePreferred:Immediate open-heart recovery experienceProficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator supportExperience in Cardiac Stepdown or Neuro ICUSpecialty certification (e.g., CCRN)Licensure/Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of ArizonaBLS and ACLS (per department/facility guidelines)What You Bring
