RN Clinical Educator Labor Delivery

Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a part time, 20 hour per week position at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska.


We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Clinical Nurse Educator to promote excellence in clinical nursing practice and support the professional growth and development of nursing staff. Serving as a frontline nurse leader, this role plays a key part in advancing clinical education, competency development, and evidence-based practice in alignment with the CHI Health Nursing Strategic Plan and Vision.

The Clinical Nurse Educator partners with campus and divisional nursing leadership to implement education initiatives, support transitions to practice, and foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing education and professional development programs in alignment with organizational priorities.

Serve as a role model, clinical expert, mentor, and change agent for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.

Consult on organizational and system initiatives related to nursing practice, education, and program development.

Integrate evidence-based practice into educational initiatives and clinical leadership activities.

Provide expertise and support for quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes.

Support transitions to practice and ongoing professional development, including onboarding, orientation, nurse residency, fellowships, competency validation, preceptor development, and mentorship programs.

Develop and maintain educational resources and tools grounded in adult learning theory and organizational development principles.

Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: BSN required. MSN or completion of MSN program within 5 years of start date.

Required Licensure and Certifications: Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
