**Position Overview:**
As a Cath Lab RN, you’ll play a vital role in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, delivering direct patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. This role demands strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assist with cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab and other procedural areas.
+ Perform as scrub tech, circulator, and hemodynamic monitor.
+ Monitor patients under conscious sedation and manage IV therapy.
+ Respond to cardiac emergencies using BLS/ACLS protocols.
+ Educate patients and families, and document care thoroughly.
+ Maintain equipment, supplies, and regulatory standards.
+ Support quality improvement and mentor new team members.
**Qualifications:**
+ Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
+ Current Iowa RN license.
+ BLS, ACLS, Mandatory Reporter certification.
+ 2+ years Cath Lab or 3+ years critical care experience preferred.
+ Strong cardiac care knowledge, including EKG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring.
+ Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
