Schedule: 10-Hour Shifts, 40-hours/week (Full-Time, Mid/Night Shift) Department: Women’s Services Location: Novant Health Betty H. Cameron Women & Children’s Hospital About our Unit: Our Women’s Services unit provides comprehensive, patient‑centered med‑surg care for postpartum NICU mothers, patients recovering from GYN or bariatric procedures, and occasional overflow from other units and the Emergency Department. This 20-Bed unit serves as a strong foundation for nurses interested in advancing within the Women’s & Children’s Hospital and is committed to supporting long‑term growth and career progression. What You'll Do + Partner with the Nurse Manager and leadership team to foster a culture of professional accountability, teamwork, and a healthy work environment that supports excellent patient outcomes. + Support and develop team members through coaching, education, performance guidance, and consistent reinforcement of evidence‑based practice and organizational standards. + Oversee daily unit operations by coordinating scheduling, clerical needs, and patient throughput while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the Novant Health Nursing Practice Model. + Promote strong interdisciplinary collaboration by building collegial relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and ancillary departments to remove barriers and enhance patient safety and satisfaction. + Demonstrate leadership through timely decision‑making, effective delegation, and ongoing self‑development, contributing to succession planning and the long‑term success of the Women’s Services unit. What We're Looking For + Education: + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Required. + Bachelor's Degree, Required + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), Preferred. + Licensure/Certification: + Current valid North Carolina nursing license, Required. + Experience: + Two years of relevant experience, Required. + Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, Preferred.
