Responsibilities: + Assess daily patient access needs and ensures that appropriate patient care is provided. Provides oversight involving all aspects of nursing department operations. + Deliver quality patient care and ensures implementation of clinical objectives. + Delegate appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations. + Collaborate with department leadership to ensure processes are up to date and followed. + Participate with ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and development of plans for improvement. + Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. + One or more of the following required: + Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Education: + Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required. **Additional Preferences** 3-5 Years ED Nursing experience. 1 year of leadership experience. Charge Nurse experience preferred. BSN preferred. Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) preferred.
