Summary

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse, to join our team as a RN Advisor (Triage RN), Full-Time to support Moffitt MAC locations.

 

Current MAC (Moffitt Ambulatory Clinics): Moffitt South Shore, Moffitt Wesley Chapel, Moffitt International Plaza and Opening late January 2026, Moffitt Cancer Center at Spiros (will be a 91,000 square-feet full-service outpatient facility and 26,000 square-feet Proton Therapy Center designed and equipped to provide the same level of cancer care we provide at our main hospital).

Position Highlights:

 

The RN Advisor uses the nursing process to effectively plan and manage patient care by providing individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and family members over the phone, in accordance with established Cancer Center guidelines, nursing care standards, and Moffitt Clinic policies. Using the concepts of Duffy's Quality Caring Model, the RN Advisor ensures calls are answered promptly and accurately while assessing patient's urgent signs and symptoms. The RN Advisor provides nursing interventions, acts as a liaison with the clinical team and documents assessment and interventions in the EHR. Training locations: All MAC (Moffitt Ambulatory Clinics) Hybrid (Remote and on-site) after orientation/training Day Shift- Monday-Friday 8-4:30p,  NO Weekends, NO Holidays!! The Ideal Candidate

 At least 2 years of experience in Oncology as a Registered Nurse

Ambulatory/Outpatient experience Flexibility to learn and support multispecialty oncology focus' Call center/phone triage experience Computer/technology skills Communication skills Ability to travel to MAC locations

 

Responsibilities:

Answer calls using Moffitt Promise Guidelines (AIDET), the quality caring factors, and the nursing process to assess the patient's issue, plan and properly evaluate the care. Complete, accurate and timely nursing documentation. Exercise clinical judgment and decision making. Recognizes emergencies and takes appropriate action. Identify, document and provide accurate and appropriate patient education. Participate in evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice. Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations.

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing  In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered Registered Nurse (RN) RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 30 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges) Basic Life Support (BLS)
