This position oversees clinical operations, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and patient safety within the OR and perioperative departments. Ideal for a confident leader who can quickly assess operations, support teams, and maintain high standards of care.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsProvide oversight of perioperative services, including OR and related departmentsLead, organize, and manage daily department operations, staffing, and workflowsSupervise staff orientation, ongoing training, competency validation, and performance evaluationsProvide coaching, feedback, and corrective action in accordance with hospital policyPromote a positive, professional, and accountable work environmentClinical & Patient Care OversightEnsure safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across all patient populationsCoordinate nursing care throughout the perioperative continuumMaintain responsibility for patient safety in the operating roomEnsure proper care, sterilization, and storage of surgical instrumentsStep in clinically when required and support staff during high-acuity situationsRegulatory & ComplianceMaintain compliance with Title 22, OSHA, Life Safety Code, and Joint Commission standardsEnsure department alignment with AORN, ASPAN, and other perioperative regulatory requirementsKeep department policies and procedures current and ensure staff adherenceFiscal & Resource ManagementAssist with development and monitoring of department budgetsPromote cost-conscious supply and equipment utilizationMaintain equipment inventory and support capital planning and replacementPerformance Improvement & CommunicationLead process improvement initiatives and evaluate outcomesCommunicate department performance, trends, and needs to senior leadershipParticipate in management meetings, planning, and hospital initiativesRequired QualificationsActive California RN licenseBLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required)Bachelor�s degree in Nursing or equivalentMinimum 5 years RN experience, including:At least 2 years as a circulating RN in SurgeryPrior leadership, supervisory, or management experience (strongly preferred)CNOR certification (preferred)Physical & Work RequirementsAbility to stand/walk for extended periodsAbility to lift/carry up to 35 lbsComfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environmentAbility to supervise, delegate, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsWhy This AssignmentLeadership-focused travel opportunityHigh-impact role supporting surgical servicesWork closely with executive nursing leadershipIdeal for experienced OR leaders seeking interim or travel management roles If interested, please apply through this job post.
