Risk Specialist, Amazon Customs and Trade

Amazon Customs and Trade (ACT) team is responsible for providing Customers a one stop shop for international transportation service, providing end to end supply chain solutions. We are seeking a customer centric individual who wants to be part of this journey. We are actively seeking for Risk Specialist to support our Europe customs clearance operations. This includes ocean, air, rail and truck cross-border shipments for both 3rd party and 1st party entry filing tasks. Risk Specialist monitors the risks and communicates with sellers/vendors/3P customs brokers/internal ops teams for shipment and document preparation, monitor shipment clearance status and escalate issues when necessary. Risk Manager will have solid industry knowledge of the advanced EU/UK-wide customs and regulatory requirements and can reference when needed in addition to being well-versed in entry filing and product classifications, documentation requirements. Key job responsibilities • Analyze operational metrics and develop actionable insights • Create and maintain dashboards for performance tracking • Identify trends and patterns to optimize customs clearance processes • Drive data-driven decision making for process improvements • Verify and maintain customs documentation accuracy • Act as subject matter expert for customs-related queries • Provide training and guidance to team members • Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in an industry role - Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization - Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent - Customs brokerage experience in EU/UK markets Preferred Qualifications - Experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate - Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export operations, or data entry/data administration Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
