Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling.
Visa Requirements
The Company shall be responsible and liable for the multi-entry visa cost as required to deliver the Services. Any visa costs incurred by the Contractor shall be reimbursed.
Package
GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights, and life support while on duty.
Food, Accommodation and General Expenses:
The company will provide the Contractor with food, drink, transportation, and accommodation as necessary whilst the Contractor is engaged in a project.
If Company is unable to provide the Contractor with food, accommodation, and transportation, except as set forth below for inbound and outbound travel to the project location, Company shall either provide a per diem at an agreed rate or reimburse to the Contractor for any travelling, hotel and other expenses reasonably incurred by him in the proper performance of his duties under this Agreement. In the case of the latter, the Contractor must provide Company with such vouchers and receipts or other evidence of actual payment of such expenses as Company may reasonably require. The Contractor shall seek the prior approval by Company for any individual expenses incurred under this Agreement.
Flight Package
GardaWorld will provide an economy class return ticket per rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.
The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary, and tertiary hub airport from the GardaWorld hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, GardaWorld will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.
The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address. The Company will pay for any transfers from the airport near the project location or any other intermediate landing location to the Consultant’s accommodation at the project.

Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Security Studies, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in risk analysis, operations planning, or security management, preferably in a military or expeditionary environment. Working knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, DoD Risk Management Framework). Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-stress, high-risk environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Desirable:
Prior experience in military or diplomatic mission SOC/control room environments. Familiarity with Iraqi operational terrain and threat landscape. Prior deployment or experience at a forward operating base (FOB) or in post-conflict environments. Experience with integrated base defense systems or emergency management operations. Familiarity with risk management software/tools (e.g., ARM, LogicManager, RiskWatch).Services
Services provided by the contractor shall include, but not be limited to, the provision of comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation support to operational leadership at Balad, Iraq. The Risk Management Analyst is responsible for identifying, analysing, and evaluating operational, logistical, and security-related risks across base functions. This role supports mission readiness and resilience by maintaining proactive risk awareness, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and advising leadership on threat trends, vulnerabilities, and response strategies. The Risk Management Analyst plays a key role in preserving the safety, continuity, and efficiency of operations in a complex and dynamic operational environment.
Services the contractor can expect to carry out, but are not limited to, are as follows:
• Conduct detailed risk assessments across base operations including security, logistics, infrastructure, IT systems, and personnel safety.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly update a comprehensive risk register and associated mitigation strategies.
• Monitor local, regional, and geopolitical developments that may impact base operations or security posture.
• Support incident analysis, root cause reviews, and post-incident reporting to strengthen risk controls and emergency protocols.
• Collaborate with military leadership, coalition partners, and civilian contractors to ensure unified risk awareness and response.
• Prepare and deliver risk briefings, visual dashboards, and threat assessments for leadership and operational teams.
• Ensure alignment with risk management frameworks and host nation regulatory standards.
• Maintain key documentation including contingency plans, SOPs, SITREPs, and compliance records.
• Assist in the testing and evaluation of risk control systems and emergency response plans.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills under pressure, while maintaining a high level of discretion and professionalism.
This position is critical to sustaining operational effectiveness and mission assurance at Balad, Iraq, directly contributing to base-wide resilience, situational awareness, and strategic decision-making.
