**Description**
**PeaceHealth is seeking a Risk Insurance Analyst Senior for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. This remote role requires the incumbent work and reside in OR, WA or AK by date of hire.**
The Risk Insurance Analyst Sr identifies and assesses risks associated with financial, human, and physical assets. Develops strategies to prevent, control and/or transfer risks through contract provisions, self-insurance, commercial insurance, captive insurance and /or other financial instruments. Identifies and assesses risks associated with unplanned interruptions in operations. Coordinates with operations and support groups to establish a framework and methodology of contingency planning to mitigate loss and recover critical business functions. Coordinates physician professional liability insurance program including serving as a resource for communities and providers on professional liability insurance issues. Maintains database of providers for professional liability coverage. Support the actuarial analysis of retained liabilities and required funding for each policy year.

+ Assists in marketing and placing commercial insurance policies by obtaining data for applications and detailed underwriting submissions and assists in negotiations with brokers and insurers to produce the best terms and conditions at the best value. Reviews commercial insurance, surety and self-insurance policies to ensure accuracy in coverage, pricing, invoicing and payment. Serves as a resource for insurance coverage and underwriting questions for the organization.
+ In conjunction with credentialing and physician hiring evaluates candidates for consideration of coverage under the Professional Liability self-insurance program. Maintains the integrity of the Underwriting Information system. Serves as a resource for communities and providers. Provides evidence of current and past provider including claims loss histories required for 3rd party payors and credentialing.
+ Analyzes the data necessary to develop and produce various standard and custom reports to ensure adequate risk management reporting and data management needs for leadership, actuary, insurers, and brokers.
+ Collaborates with project teams, legal and key stakeholders to review contracts for risk mitigation strategies. Develops and negotiates indemnification, waivers, and insurance language.
+ Adjusts and coordinates claims for commercially insured programs including property, pollution, and cyber claims. Coordinates subrogation of claims where appropriate.
+ Assists director in the oversight of Clare Reassurance, Ltd, a wholly owned captive insurance company that provides significant coverage to the organization. This includes assuring proper policy development, pricing, issuance, and invoicing. Also includes the oversight of the offshore captive manager.
+ Works with Finance by providing monthly reports on claims to support financial reporting and reimbursement from the captive. Support Finance with the annual audits of Clare Re and the parent organization.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**What you will bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree Required: Insurance, Risk Management (preferred), Business or a healthcare discipline or equivalent or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in risk management and risk mitigation, insurance and/or insurance law.
+ Experience with risk management principles, techniques and their applications.
+ Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) preferred.
+ Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management preferred.
**Additional skills:**
+ Understanding and ability to create and complete complex documents.
+ Knowledge of general insurance, including property, liability, professional liability, cyber liability, reinsurance, worker’s compensation, and bonds.
+ Knowledge of the impact of indemnity provisions on company exposures, contract law, relevant governing state and federal laws and regulations.
+ Ability to work independently with minimum direction, handle multiple and diverse projects simultaneously, collect and analyze data, and maintain confidential material.
+ Detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Advanced computer skills required, including the suite of Microsoft 365.
+ Ability to organize and multitask in a high stress, rapidly changing environment with multiple time sensitive deadlines.
+ Ability to communicate complex insurance information to non-insurance professionals.
+ Skilled in assessing and evaluating potential risks in contracts, activities, and operations.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
+ Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
+ Sedentary work.
+ Predominantly operates in an office environment.
+ Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
+ The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $64,126 – $96,158 annually. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
