What You'll Do
As a Risk Control Analyst, you’ll work closely with Front Office, Operations, Back Office, Finance, Compliance, and Trading Systems teams to ensure accurate valuation and reporting of risk positions and trading results. You will be instrumental in risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and disclosure—providing insights that shape top-level trading strategies.

Ensure compliance with internal trading limits Provide independent analysis, valuation, and reporting on risk positions Maintain external regulatory complianceYour mission as a Risk Control Analyst entails playing a critical role in analyzing, modeling, and reporting market risk across various trading activities - including physical and financial trades, transportation, storage, park and loan transactions, and foreign exchange deals.
Assess and monitor daily mark-to-market valuations, risk positions, basis changes, and P/L results Develop and enhance risk reporting tools, providing traders and management with valuable insights Ensure accuracy and compliance in deal capture, pricing validation, and risk policy adherenceImprove risk models, evaluate assumptions, and test new methodologies for stronger risk quantificationCollaborate cross-functionally with traders, finance, operations, compliance, and senior managementDrive strategic reporting of trading results and risk positions, helping leadership shape decisions
Global Exposure – The position is based in Houston and includes oversight of both global and US energy markets. covering diverse energy commodities

Candidate Profile Education/Experience:Degree qualified in economics/ finance /business /mathematics or quantitative discipline. Comprehensive understanding of risk management methodologies and valuation modelsSkills:
Power BI, Python, or other data management software like Alteryx.
