Please contact Human Resources if you require an accommodation.BASIC FUNCTION:The Risk, Compliance, and Strategic Initiative Associate will advise the AVP and Senior Director of Contract Administration on contractual risk transfer & insurance matters, state-wide compliance reporting, and strategic development initiatives in support of promoting equality in economic opportunities through contract procurement, active contract administration and oversight.WORK PERFORMED:• Assist Senior Director with project development, implementation and management of an insurance premium and property allocation tool that will serve as the primary database in support of the annual insurance renewal process, including solicitation of bids from insurance carriers for various types of insurance coverage to protect ESD and its Subsidiary employees and assets. • Coordinate the renewal process for all insurance policies each year, including oversight and assistance in gathering exposure data, loss information, and application completion. • Assist manager with RFP process to bid out ESD’s insurance broker contract & review submissions.• Develop and coordinate RFP process for the selection of any ESD insurance consultants.• Manage payment process of all insurance premiums and related costs.• Assist in proper accounting of expenditures for insurance related items and maintaining necessary procurement records.• Other duties as assigned by the AVP and/or supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications Education Level required: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration. Associate’s degree with 3 years relevant experience may substitute.Experience: 1-2 years experience, inclusive of internships and fellowships. Knowledge preferred: Procurement analytics, and program or project management; some combination of MWBE and/or SDVOB, contract administration, regulatory compliance, grant administration, and/or construction preferred. Contract compliance and financial modeling experience. Strong familiarity with databases and basic computer software. Excellent communication, writing, presentation and analytical skills.
