We are seeking Right of Way professionals to fill positions in Chattanooga, TN, and Knoxville, TN, Jackson TN.

Responsibilities include:Perform basic principles in reading, writing, retracing and interpreting legal descriptions, such as parent parcel; metes and bounds; and subdivisionReview and identify title defects and curative requirements; bringing these matters to the attention of Project Manager, RES Agent, client, title manager or underwriter, as appropriatePreparation of project reports, and review of title document packagesMaintain accurate records of title research activities to ensure appropriate back-up information existsWorks closely with and at the direction of team members, including Project Managers, RES Title Agent 3 staff, RES Tech 3 staff and RES Agent 3 staffSupports RES Title Agent 3 with development and participates in training junior staff by providing insight and instruction regarding task completion and procedureRecognize when to escalate title issues to RES Agent and Project ManagerPerform additional duties as assignedPreferred QualificationsDegree or certification pertaining to right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lending, or equivalent experiencePrequalified or the ability to become prequalified with TDOT within 3 monthsExperience closing acquisition parcels and delivering warrantsCurrent Tennessee notary, or ability to obtain notary within 3 monthsA minimum of 3 years completing title research from courthouse records and completing an associated report

Required QualificationsA minimum of 3 years experience with right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lendingMust have ability to understand real estate documents such as appraisal, environmental, survey, deeds, easements, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, court records, assessments, probates and other matters of recordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid organizational and planning skillsSpecific industry regulatory knowledge a plusDatabase, ProjectWise and GIS familiarity a plusProficient with MS Office Suite, Webex and Teams
