Minimum Required Qualifications EducationDiploma/Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Training/Specialty
LEEA Certification, Diploma in Lifting Equipment Inspection and certification, In-house training in Inspection of Equipment in Hazardous Areas (Zone II), NDE, H2S, Breathing Apparatus, Firefighting Training, Basic First Aid, Offshore/Sea Survival.
Technical knowledgeFundamentals of Elevators, Escalators, Lifting and Handling Equipment
ExperienceMin 5 years in inspection and certification (Lifting & Rigging Inspector)
Responsibilities / Authorities Primary Functions Conduct Inspections. Prepare Reports Review of applicable contractual requirements (Technical standards, specifications etc.) Definition and review of Quality Plan and relevant procedures. Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc.) Technical Expertise Knowledge of the working of Lifting & Rigging equipment’s Quality Standards Application of codes and standards, project specifications and procedures Within his field of competency, the inspector is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions. Fully conversant with relevant inspection techniques and able to select the most appropriate inspection technique. Able to verify and approve non-conformities / corrective actions Able to identify the required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre- defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards. Able to review / appraise inspection procedures Able to manage one or more level 1 Inspectors / surveyors Business Requirements Inspection & Verification by adhering to Quality Standards and Federal Legal requirements Self Management Honesty, Integrity, Punctuality, Accuracy and courteousness Customer Focus Time management Proper Communication Dedicated Service Timely issue of Reports Performance Monitoring Continual Development
