Position Overview

The Rigger and Lifting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all rigging and lifting activities on board an FPSO operating offshore West Africa. This role ensures all lifting operations are conducted safely, in compliance with international standards and company procedures, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging activities on board the FPSO. Ensure lifting operations comply with LOLER, company procedures, and international standards. Develop and review lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for all lifting operations. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations and equipment inspections. Ensure all lifting gear is certified, fit for purpose, and maintained regularly. Liaise with deck crew, crane operators, and third-party contractors. Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example. Essential Requirements Recognised Lifting Supervisor certification (e.g. OPITO, LOLER-based). Valid BOSIET/FOET, OGUK or ILO medical, and offshore survival certificates. Minimum 5 years’ offshore experience, including FPSO or similar units. Strong leadership and communication skills. Fluency in English; French or Portuguese is an advantage. Summary on Airswift:
