Revenue Manager
Description We are looking for a skilled Revenue Manager to join our team in Emeryville, California. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Your expertise will play a central role in supporting audits, reconciling accounts, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: + Oversee all phases of the monthly financial close process. + Provide management with monthly revenue insights and performance metrics. + Manage accounting functions related to revenue and reinsurance. + Ensure accurate accounting for policy premiums under ASC 944 for short-duration insurance contracts. + Handle premium adjustments, including processing refunds and cancellations. + Analyze and report trends on key portfolio metrics, such as premium growth, New Insurance Written (NIW), and Insurance in Force (IIF). + Drive automation and process improvements by developing and integrating systems and tools to enhance efficiency. + Lead and mentor a team of revenue accountants, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. + Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits, maintaining strong communication and collaboration. + Contribute to the preparation of audited statutory statements, GAAP financial statements, and state regulatory filings. + Support the maintenance and accuracy of general and subsidiary ledgers. + Assist in creating and implementing accounting policies, priorities, and procedures. + Oversee SOX and MAR 205 documentation to ensure compliance. + Collaborate with other reporting teams to align financial data and reporting efforts. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience. + CPA certification preferred. + At least 6 years of industry or public accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Strong knowledge of statutory accounting and U.S. GAAP. + Skilled in analyzing and accurately interpreting large volumes of financial data. + Capable of working independently, exercising initiative and sound judgment. + Strong project management abilities with high attention to detail. + Effective at collaborating across all organizational levels. + Adept at identifying, prioritizing, and resolving issues with practical solutions. + Consistently meets deadlines and manages workload efficiently. + Strong leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication. + Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information appropriately.
