The Revenue Manager is responsible for the oversight of the monthly revenue financial close process for the outpatient division. This includes management of the month-end revenue and cash cycle processes including ensuring that all revenue is recorded timely and following generally accepted accounting principles, meeting all required financial close deadlines, completion of reserve and liquidation analysis, management of the provision testing, and participation in both internal and external audit procedures. The revenue manager is also responsible for the development of process improvement plans, related coordination and execution of such plans, and integration of any outpatient acquisitions.

 

 

 

Responsibilities Verify the accuracy of financial and statistical journal entries and accounting classifications. Review staff entries for accuracy and appropriateness. Ensure all entries are following generally accepted accounting principles.Management and ownership of the balance sheet reconciliation process including detailed review and monthly approval for all cash and accounts receivable related accounts.Management and ownership of the completion of the consolidated monthly reserve analysis and all cash reporting.Lead and oversee the preparation of the provision testing for all databases and review any rate adjustments required.Play a key role in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting policies and procedures to assure an effective system of internal accounting control as related to the revenue and cash cycles.Develop a strategy for the outpatient department through the identification of process improvements and system enhancements to the current billing systems and software utilized for both financial and statistical reporting.Continuously look for and identify process improvement opportunities to ensure accurate and timely reporting most cost-effectively and efficiently.Manage and coordinate interaction with auditors, both internal and external, on a quarterly and annual basis for cash and revenue-related areas.Assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions as related to accounts receivable and cash.Assist with the integration of acquisitions into the financial reporting process.Lead, direct, and train staff. Review staff work output for accuracy and completeness.Direct interaction with members of management throughout the financial close, budget, and acquisition due diligence process.Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities:

Technical experience and data management skills including data extraction, transformation, and metadata capabilities.Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.Experience in data verification, examination, manipulation, and reporting for large databases. Working knowledge of data validation and transformation.Ability to travel.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.CPA or MBA preferred.Three to five years of experience managing staff and accounting processes. Additional Data
