Your Role At Baxter:The Revenue Cycle Manager – Collections is responsible for leading the team specific third-party collections, denial resolution, and Accounts Receivable management to include Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, and Patient collections. This role is responsible for establishing departmental policy and procedures to ensure compliance with third-party billing regulations. Major duties include identifying and implementing payer collection enhancements with Managed Care team. The Revenue Cycle Manager – Collections is responsible for leading, directing, motivating, and communicating operational changes to their team.
What You'll Be Doing:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Revenue Cycle Insurance Collections and Patient Collection teams including recruitment and selection, performance management, coaching and development to ensure compliance with established business service level agreements, procedures, and government/third-party billing requirements.Identify, develop, and monitor key performance indicators and dashboards to ensure accounts receivable balances are worked promptly and efficiently and that established aging standards, denial ratios and DSO are achieved practicing ongoing process improvement methodologies.Manage escalated issues involving customer billing concerns, departmental/staff issues, and coordination of third-party payer escalations with the Managed Care team.Review and approve/deny billing adjustments timely and within policy guidelines.Analyze actionable claims data, including revenue, adjustments, cash, denials, and credit balances by payer, procedure code, etc.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences, and other activities.Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required5+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience, preferably with a DME supplier3+ years leadership/management experience requiredHome health or durable medical equipment (DME) experience preferredKnowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards, including a working knowledge of Compliance and HIPAA rules and regulationsKnowledge of accounts receivable principles, procedures, standards and documentation within a third-party payer environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SoftwareExceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skillsDetail orientedProven change management and strong management skillsStrong organizational abilitiesStrong negotiating skillsBaxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $96,000 to $144,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
