This role partners closely with operational leaders to identify day-to-day operational challenges and proactively reengineer functional revenue cycle workflows to improve efficiency, consistency and financial performance for partner entities utilizing BSWH’s centralized revenue cycle infrastructure. This role acts as an internal advisor and problem‑solver for Billing, Collections, and the Denial Resource Center, responsible for capturing and synthesizing recurring performance challenges, operational barriers, workflow gaps, and system limitations. The role leads and supports cross‑functional problem resolution by coordinating stakeholders, prioritizing initiatives, and project‑managing solutions to ensure timely resolution and sustained adherence to operational performance standards. In partnership with Revenue Cycle Performance leadership, the Consultant supports the design, implementation, and optimization of standardized workflows to ensure functional teams consistently meet BSWH revenue cycle performance expectations. This role also supports performance reporting, issue escalation, and executive‑level communication for partner entity leadership. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Proactively identify emerging risks impacting partner performance and recommend mitigations + Own end-to-end operational intake and triage for assigned centralized revenue cycle functions + Lead data-driven workflow redesign by translating performance signals (KPIs, aging, denial/appeal outcomes, touch/retouch indicators) into prioritized redesign opportunities + Facilitate cross-functional root cause analysis (RCA) sessions for recurring operational failures (e.g., repeat denials, rework loops, unresolved workqueues) and develop action plans for improvement + Translate operational barriers into system enhancement requirements (Epic/build, reporting, workqueue logic, automation) and partner with IS to implement. + Design and maintain standardized workflows in partnership with Revenue Cycle Training to drive consistency across partner entities utilizing BSWH’s centralized revenue cycle infrastructure. + Communicate identified opportunities and action plans impacting partner performance to key internal stakeholders + Drive change management and adoption for workflow updates: coordinate training needs, job aids, and stakeholder communications **Key Success Factors** + Exceptional communication, organizational, and implementation skills. + Strong in-depth knowledge of revenue cycle operations required. + Certification(s) such as CHFP, CRCR, or equivalent preferred but not required. + Experience working within a matrixed or integrated healthcare delivery system is strongly preferred. + Healthcare consulting experience preferred. **Belonging Statement** We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported. **QUALIFICATIONS** + EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification + EXPERIENCE - 3 Years of Experience As a health care system committed to improving the health of those we serve, we are asking our employees to model the same behaviours that we promote to our patients.
