Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a key role in optimizing Compassus' billing and compliance operations across multiple states. This position supports Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) efforts, payor setup and onboarding, and cross-functional coordination to ensure accurate and timely claim submission. The role also contributes to revenue cycle system improvements and helps implement workflows in support of Medicaid compliance and operational efficiency.


Position Specific Responsibilities

• Research and resolve EVV-related claim issues and rejections across multiple states.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to correct visit data and ensure successful claim resubmission.

• Maintain accurate staff demographic and schedule data needed to support compliant EVV workflows.

• Support payor setup by configuring and maintaining billing profiles in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement EVV workflows and payor onboarding for new states.

• Partner with IT and Revenue Cycle teams to streamline system processes and integrations.

• Track and report on issue resolution efforts and compliance status.

• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow documentation.

• Train staff on EVV procedures, system updates, and state-specific billing protocols.

• Partner with Payor Contracting, Implementation, and IT teams to align workflows and system requirements with contract terms.

• Engage with external aggregators or state agencies as needed to support compliance efforts.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field.Five or more (5+) years of experience in revenue cycle operations.Preferably within home health or post-acute care.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.Other Skills and Abilities: Experience with multi-state EVV, EMR systems, and system configuration.Other Skills and Abilities: Experience working with payor contracts and extracting key billing data elements.Other Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with ticketing or service request platforms, API (Application Programming Interface)-based demographic workflows, and healthcare data systems.Other Skills and Abilities: Prior experience training staff and creating SOPs to support revenue compliance and claim workflows.Other Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve systemic issues.Other Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Medicaid billing processes and visit verification aggregator platforms.Other Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments to improve workflows, resolve system issues, and align operations with compliance requirements.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy and ownership, using sound judgment to manage workflow decisions, train others and support process improvements at Compassus.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
