Revenue Accountant (HYBRID)
Job Title: Accountant (Revenue Recognition) Job Description This role focuses on revenue recognition under ASC 606 and the full order-to-cash cycle, with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial accounting. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial statements and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, while gaining significant exposure to senior leadership and strong opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities + Manage and oversee the order-to-cash process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application. + Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to customer contracts and transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. + Perform regular reconciliations related to accounts receivable and revenue accounts to maintain accurate financial records. + Support the preparation and review of financial statements by providing accurate accounts receivable and revenue data. + Maintain and update the general ledger for AR and revenue-related entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness. + Analyze customer accounts, identify discrepancies or issues, and resolve them in a timely and professional manner. + Prepare and maintain reports and schedules related to revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and order-to-cash activities. + Use Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions to analyze large data sets and support financial reporting and decision-making. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance and leadership teams, to provide insights on revenue and AR performance. + Contribute to process improvements within accounts receivable and revenue recognition to increase efficiency and accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hands-on experience with revenue recognition, including practical application of ASC 606. + Strong background in accounts receivable and the order-to-cash process. + Proficiency in financial accounting, including understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting. + Ability to perform detailed reconciliations related to AR and revenue accounts. + Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and use pivot tables. + Proficiency with VLOOKUP functions in Excel for data analysis and reconciliation. + Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data. + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment within the finance function. + Experience working with revenue recognition under ASC 606 in a corporate or public accounting environment. + Exposure to financial statement preparation and support activities. + Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting tools. + Strong communication skills to interact with finance leadership and other stakeholders. + Demonstrated interest in professional growth and taking on increased responsibility over time. Work Environment You will work as part of a close-knit accounts receivable team of four professionals, reporting directly into the AR leadership within the finance organization. The environment offers significant visibility and exposure to C-level executives at the parent company, providing strong opportunities for learning and career growth. The role is office-based or hybrid depending on company policy, and you will regularly use Excel and financial systems to manage and analyze AR and revenue data. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
