Compensation: $97K - 109K/yearLocation: Denver, COAssignment Duration: Direct hireWork Scheduler: M-F / hybrid / Tues-Thurs in-officeBenefits: Comprehensive benefits provided by Client Responsibilities Ensure revenue received is verified against all purchaser payments and purchaser payments agree to the company’s metered volumesPrepare and explain detailed revenue variance analysis as part of monthly closeAccurately ensure revenue accounts receivable is offset against cash receipts after revenue has been uploaded / bookedSupport the month-end financial reporting processPrepare and track monthly non-op bookings to ensure payments are being received and recordedCoordinate and print monthly owner royalty statements; as well as respond to royalty owner inquiriesServes as a key contact for inquiries from other departments, owners, and auditsPrepare and pay state royalties and severance taxes as needed / assignedPrepare monthly reconciliations as assignedMaintain all revenue-related SOX controlsPrepare revenue source documentation for audit requestsProvide support and assistance to junior accountants or financial analysts to help enhance skills and the team’s performanceMaintain electronic revenue recordsEnsure all work performed adheres to Client standardsPerform all other duties and projects as assignedAssist management in resolving complex accounting issues or challenges that arise in upstream operations  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or Finance, or an equivalent of an additional 5 years of experience requiredMinimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas production, revenue settlement, general ledger accounting concepts and reporting regulations and requirementsMinimum of 3 years experience in Oil & Gas required, upstream preferredProficient in Microsoft 360 products (Outlook, Excel, Word) required with advanced skills in Excel in particular Meticulous attention to detail, consistently ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverablesStrong organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient planning and execution of work to meet established deadlines.Demonstrate unwavering high integrity and consistently upholds ethical standards while maintaining a strong work ethic to ensure the highest level of trust and accountability in all responsibilitiesOil & Gas related ERP system experience requiredCertified Public Accountant license a plus
