Job Description

The Retirement Expert is responsible for delivering core benefit design and planning initiatives to all plan participants by applying professional judgment, deep subject matter expertise, and a strategic mindset. The individual will manage all aspects of the company’s retirement plans and programs, with a primary focus on the 401(k) plan and the Financial Wellbeing program. Responsibilities include vendor management, compliance, project management, strategic planning and design, and partnering with the communications team. In addition, the individual will be responsible for implementing, managing and developing innovative solutions that support the business unit strategy and design by applying thought leadership and their subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Accountable for the strategic oversight of the company’s 401(k) retirement plan and Financial Wellbeing program, ensuring vendor performance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectivesServe as the primary subject matter expert and point of contact for all aspects of the 401(k) plan and Financial Wellbeing program including plan design, operations, communications, and performance managementLead vendor relationships, managing recordkeepers, consultants, fiduciary partners, and other third-party providersMonitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the 401(k) plan and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL rulesSupport the administration and oversight of other retirement plans—including pension and non-qualified plans—through strategic guidance and operational coordinationCollaborate with internal partners in HR, legal, finance, and leadership to ensure retirement plans are integrated with broader total rewards strategiesManage retirement-related projects such as plan redesign, mergers, divestitures, and auditsAnalyze plan data and metrics to identify trends, optimize outcomes, and present recommendations to senior leadershipCollaborate with senior leadership on retirement program budgeting and reporting

Education

4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

7 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Functional Skills

Expertise in 401(k) plan administration, compliance, and plan design.Proven ability to manage and enhance Financial Wellbeing programs.In-depth knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations and their application.Strong vendor management skills, including oversight of recordkeepers and consultants.Strategic planning experience with a focus on aligning retirement programs with organizational. goals.Skilled in leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.Proficient in budgeting processes and coordinating internal and external audits.Experience preparing and delivering presentations to executive committees and senior leadership.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $92,560.00 - 166,465.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
